Humblebrag

Words are quite personal to me.

They’ve aided me in more ways than I can put into words *🥁*. It’s, therefore, no surprise that writing is deeply integral to my day-to-day life. A valuable tool that I wield indiscriminately, during trying and equally delightful times.

The way I write, true to context, has evolved hand in hand with my changing professions, i.e. as a Lawyer, as a UX researcher, and finally as a UX writer/Copywriter. My words to paper over the course of 8 professional years have been directed to achieve varied ends, such as to defend, represent, delight, clarify, vent, educate, sell, caution, explain, direct, soothe, to name a few. Resultantly, I’ve become adept at being able to switch writing styles at the drop of a hat, tailoring it to the industries and audiences in question.

Whilst shaping content in my professional capacity, you’ll find me devoting my erudition towards building and triggering human-centered experiences and emotions. It’s aimed at bridging the tangible gap between users and digital products. It’s aimed at bridging the tangible gap between users and digital products vide verbiage that mimics real-life conventions and interactions.

  • As a UX writer, my phrasing is aimed towards making products approachable and rendering a user experience that’s effortless, almost as if it were invisible.

  • As a Copywriter, my phrasing is aimed at encapsulating human-centered needs to best advocate a product’s appeal and render a user experience that’s memorable and actionable.

Having practiced Law in New Delhi for 4 years,

I truly believe that my experience as a lawyer equips me with the wherewithal to take on any project, regardless of the market it represents.

My experience in representing different industries (Telecommunications-Sugar manufacturing- Ethanol manufacturing-Ports-Web browsers-Kiwis e.t.c.) arms me with the skill-set needed to write about anything, for anyone.

Language is the dress of thought,

wrote English scholar Samuel Johnson in the 18th century. Your product’s goals and messages need a dress with a perfect fit, and I’d be more than happy to tailor them for you.

How can I help?

UX writing ✍🏽: Designing your product’s experience using clear and compelling text to help achieve its objectives.

Copywriting 📝: Using colorful verbiage and tone to advocate your brand and its product(s) and amplify its appeal to the end-users.

Information Architecture 🏛: Determining and organizing the flow of information through planning and extensive research, geared towards meeting business and user goals.

Legal drafting 👩🏽‍💼: Drawing from my experience as an Antitrust lawyer, I’m well adept at crafting legal texts and also decrypt legal texts into simpler texts. This will especially come in handy to pick apart terms of use that no one likes to read, let alone write!

Technical Writing 🤓: Documenting and conveying technical information in a simple, easy-to-understand format.

Editing, vetting, and proofreading ✁: Fat-shaming excessive texts is the only kind of fat-shaming I subscribe to. All skills in this department lead toward ensuring clean and crisp content.

My portfolio awaits your scrutiny! 👩🏽‍💻😅👉🏽👈🏽

Inter alia…

I love exercising, listening to music, and serenading the house cat to Bollywood songs (so I know what’s it like to be in stakeholder meetings 🥲😇). I sternly believe that puns should be decreed as being legal tender.

I’m also an amateur drummer, painter and I write for leisure, especially when my feelings are getting the best of me.

Lo and behold, some of my paintings…..
